This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one Lily Mendoza (Sherrie) who was born in California on  August 12th 1943 and passed away on  December 9th 2008 at the age of 65. We will remember her forever. She was and is still our meme..

For those of you who dont know we All call her Meme. I want to take a minute, to thank everyone for comming. it means so much to my family and I to see how many lives my meme touched, and how many people loved her. She had a way of doing that...Making people love her. She was a woman who took pride in everything she did in life:taking care of her husband, her home, her children, even cooking. it was equaly takin care of to her fullest. she not only raised her children but in a way each and every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well. As if she didnt have enough on her plate, she would take care of each and every one of our freinds that we always seem to bring home and their familes too. she would always make you eat .. hungry or not!  you couldnt visit her home and leave with oan empty stomach. she might have complained while cooking but she always made something for everyone.going as far as sending home goody bags. she loved to take care of people. she was married to her beloved husband (Eddie) Robert Mendoza (http://robert-mendoza.memory-of.com) for almost 50 years. they had one son (Robert R. Mendoza), one daughter (Dawn D. mendoza), one daughter-in-law (Deborah L. Mendoza), one son-in-law (Christopher A. Singley), eight grandchildren (Jaylene Mendoza-Jones, James Carnell-Singley, Savannah Singley-Stevens, Breanna Asher, Ashley Singely, Sean singley, Destiny Mendoza , and Summer Mendoza) and 4 great grand children( Ciera Scott, Nevaeh Jones, Eean singley and Allen R. Jones aka AJ.) and many many neighborhood kids and people whom she took care of. to everyone she was meme. she had the biggest heart i'd ever seen. She loved to travel, and see new places and things. She loved to bake and cook. she look for every chance to try new recipes. she loved to read a good love story. she enjoyed crocheting and making gifts for others. she loved her flowers and took joy in caring for them. it brought happines to her heart to hear babies laughter. meme was my best friend. there wasnt anything i couldnt tell her, there was never a problem that i had that she couldnt help me resolve or walk me though. she never let me stray to far, she kept me pretty grounded. she taught me to love the lord and always put him first. she said though him all is possible. she had faith in people who didnt even have faith in them selves. she  loved her family and would do anything for them. She did. she raised us well. now it is our turn to keep the love flowing. take care of each other. So please.. keep her in your memeories and hearts. show that you remember her through random acts of kindness. She always had to look up at us to see us or to talk, now she will look down on us as we finish out OUR walk.

A Million Times

A million times we have needed you,

The day God called you home.

My First Christmas In Heaven

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below,

with tiny lights like heavens stars reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular please wipe away that tear,

For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many christmas songs that people hold so dear,

but the sound of music can't compare with the Christmas choir here.

But i have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring,

For it is beyond discription to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me, i see pain in your heart,

But I'm not so far away, we're really not apart.

So be happy for me dear ones, you know I hold you dear,

and be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift from my heavenly home above,

I sent you each a memory of my undying love.

After all love is more precious than pure gold,

I was always most important in the story Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other like my father said to do,

For I can't count the blessings or love he has for each of you.

So have a merry Christmas and wipe away that tear,

Remember I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

 The Angels Took Our Meme Home

Sometimes in heaven the angels overflow,

So God sends them down to those in need, here on earth below.

We were blessed to have been sent an angel, from the glorious heavens above.

Our lives were turned around and filled with laughter and love.

 Our angels name is Meme, Her spirit shinned like the sun,

She had a heart of gold, God picked us the perfect one.

Meme lived with arms wide open, helping and loving everyone in site.

She always took our side, whether we were wrong or right.

Although her life ended suddenly, she touched so many lives,

She had away of grabbing your heart and allowing you to servive.

And amongest the angels above, God noticed an empty space.

So he began his search for an angel full of love and grace.

 He searched high and low to find the most beautiful one.

Untill he came acress Our Meme and God relized her work on earth was done.

He could see she was tired and deserved to sit upon heavens throne,

So he sent his most Glorious Angels to bring his precious child home.

Although we all love her dearly, God will Always love her more.

He eased her heart and opened heavens door.

So Meme we shall not mourn your death, Instead we will celebrate with pride.

That our meme was chosen to be an angel again. And i know you always be by our side.

I know at times when we are lonely, we can call out to you.

And you'll make your presence known, comforting us like you always do.

we do not want to see you leave us, but we know you'll always be here.

 To guide us though the dark and accompany us through or fears.

God couldnt have chosen a more beautiful Angel to fill his space above,

He knew Memes mission was complete, foe she taught us all to love.
